now and again the service light will come on and the revs will increase like a choke, but it random times when the engine is warm and running and clues? |

My camaro has been converted to a carb so I'm not too knowledgeable on EFI stuff, but I remember seeing an OBD port. OBD readers are about £20 off ebay and make life much easier finding faults with injected cars. I'm not sure if the camaro would be compatible with modern OBD readers though. |

You can code read it with a paper clip or piece of wire, this would be the place to start if its an EFI |
