I think it's time to replace my door mirror

Naturally after screaming at my wife and I that "it was your fault, you were going to fast, I know where you live" etc I just gave my insurance details and said I wasn't getting involved in her ranting....which didn't really help matters that much now I come to think of it, I contacted my insurance company to let them know that this had happened, the funny thing is she is insured by the same company, oh what fun :-)

Now given that as we all know the drivers side on our cars enable you to hug the side of the road rather than "driving over the white line" even on these small country roads it will be interesting to see what the insurance company intend to do.

The other cars door mirror is in shreds BTW, flimsy these Ford Focus mirrors aren't they?

Time to take the plunge and get a decent dash cam me thinks

They must be the Euro mirrors.. My 86' IROC had fixed bullet ones, that I only once managed to rip off reversing out the garage...

I was wondering about that, the mirrors look a different shape to most others, whoever had the car before us must have done it, mind you they stood up to this girl.

She has cancelled her claim saying she wanted to protect her no claims bonus so I cancelled my claim, then I get a call from 123 Legal who say they work alongside my insurance company and have a cash payment for injuries received in the "collision" :think1:

There were no injuries on either side, how the **** did they get both my mobile and landline numbers? My insurance firm say it's nothing to do with them and they have the company flagged up *cough - cash for crash? - cough* Naturally I told them I wasn't injured and don't want any payments as it would be a fraudulent claim on my part if I went ahead with it.

Yup, I think it's time to get a decent dash cam too

Her car was a Ford Focus, mirrors made from stout metal, bullet proof, invincible........well, plastic to be honest

Okay been back to the road and stood two feet into the other lane (the distance this girls mother said I was over the white line, I wasn't BTW) Had I been that far over the white live there would have been much more damage than a couple of door mirrors colliding, I'd have at least gone into her drivers side wing.

Right it's stopped raining and I've gotten both on Image

As an added bonus I didn't have to take the door card off completely so I've avoided bending that black plastic strip at the top! It looks much better now with the new mirrors.

Next up the dreaded light switch, I saw a Youtube video where they went in from underneath to release the knob (oh er missus!) but it can't be done on this one, so cluster off it seems
