Hi folks, does anyone know of anywhere to get a new power hatch motor for my Z28 iroc 1987. Mines broken and not fixable, it's buzzes like crazy, heats up to point of burning hatch upholstery and won't pull the hatch tight. I don't mind if its a part from a broken vehicle, just need it to lock as rain seeps in. Thank you Robbo

Hi Robbo, give Richard Hogg at American Technique a shout - he breaks 3rd gens and has loads of parts, so should have 1 available. he's based on Watford: https://www.facebook.com/American-Techn ... b=overview

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

for the time been can you not just manually wind the the mechanism down in to the fully closed position disconnect the motor then when you shut the tailgate it is fully shut. ( thats how mine was when I first bought the car until I fixed it)
