I have a 1990 camaro rs 5.0l v8 5speed manual It's been stood for about years previous to me buying it I've replace the rear shoes and front discs and pads stripped and rebuilt the callipers and changed the master cylinder new brake fluid too. Problem 1 is you can't bleed the front brakes without the engine running even then it very little fluid comes out Problem 2 is once the brakes are applied the brakes stay on and won't release Any help would be great The only left to change is the proportioning valve under the master cylinder but would this course this problem? |

Did you refurbish the master cylinder, I'm thinking the piston could stick and not allow the brakes to release either ? Maybe you need to check the brake booster too. Never heard of a brake system that won´t bleed unless the engine is running. It's been stood for about "?" years previous to me buying it You don´t say how many years, the lines might be blocked with crud. |

Found the problem the rubber flex hoses have collapsed and are blocked solid Such a simple thing would never have thought that was a possibility |

Do yourself a favour and get braided stainless brake lines. http://www.summitracing.com/int/search/ ... cation=int Bought mine years ago, they still look like new. |
