Do you like my new wheels ? Matches the red stripes and the dark glass roof...more vids to follow

however do you think this wheel play is "Chevy" normal ? could it be a wheel bearing ? the other side does it also.

If that's the rear, then yes a bit of sideways movement is normal as that will be the c-clip in the half shaft going side to side in the groove. If play gets excessive then you may find it an idea to change them.

I had to explain the wheel in/out movement to MOT testers on more than one occasion.

I've got a half shaft and c-clip, I'll record a short video and show you what you're experiencing.

Well bloody hell ! Thanks guys ! that's unusual.....

i'd love to see that video at some point also.. I swear I took the wheels on and off 4 times scratching my head as there was no "bearing" screech...I had my head out the wind and everything hahaha

This is the splined end that sits inside the side gears on an open diff unit. The c-clip is what retains the half shaft in the axle tube, and I guess with time they can wear down.

My C clips are not worn at all, car is 28 years old.
Had both of them in my greasy mitts yesterday.
They are hardened.
