So day I found all the old documents for my old 89 rs. I have everything from the delivery note of it being dropped of the the Chevy dealer in California to its last mot. Even have the shipping docs. |

Cool , can you pass them on to the owner? Or is that not a possibility? |

Most people haven't got a clue the origins of the car.I'd have loved to see where it got sold originally, and to whom. All I got is some receipts and old MOT's from the late 80's onwards, shame as the first 10 years is missing... Just adds a bit of personality and history to an ever growing older car. (also be funny to send a pic of the car now to the original buyer ) |

I would love to know more about the history of mine. I know of the previous owner, unfortunately as he was mid-divorce a lot of the paperwork got lost (about things like the engine rebuild etc). Apart from the shank down the side it's been stored well as the underneath and usual rot spots were not near as bad as some i've seen. It definitely gives it a personality to have all that paperwork, i would love to the meet the person that bought it originally, the Chevy dealer that sold it etc... no idea why but the car:owner relationship to me would feel more complete. Hoping that one day someone will post on here asking if anyone knows of it as it used to be theirs and could shed some light on it's past. Attachment:

I'm guessing you guys will have heard about the documents you can get from GM Heritage? You can buy original vehicle invoices relating to your car, kind of like a build sheet with all the options your came with and cost, and which dealership it was sent to to be sold: http://www.gmmediaarchive.com. It used to be free but word got round the forums and I think they got inundated so now they charge $50 (£30 or so). For Camaros they have records for 1977 and on. You can also download loads of free year-specific info for your car here: http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-heri ... -kits.html |
