Hi Bubba,

Been through this process and the IROC wheels are getting harder and harder to come by. I ended up buying a car for a good one ;) well not exactly but..

Your best friend is ebay for this, they come up occassionally but be prepared to spend £170 + for a good one. Otherwise get a nice Momo or Grant and hub for less.

My old IROC steering wheel just fell apart when it was about 10 years old, the stitching started coming apart and the padding on the rims sort of oozed out.

Replaced it with a nice suede rimmed smaller Momo..

Custom Car had a walk through on stitching your own wheel leather.
I'm damned if I can remember the issue, but if I get a chance this weekend I'll see if I've still got it.
A decent trimmers should be able to do it for you if you don't fancy a DIY effort.

I was looking in my Year one catalogue and was looking at getting a Grant Formula GT, but thought it would be a shame to get rid of the original steering wheel. A momo could be a good option as well. I wonder if I took it to a leather works if they could do anything? I suck with a needle and thread   I think it’s looking like a new one. Thanks for all the suggestions!!
