hi all

i have some issues with my exhast, the one thats on the car has 2 four branch manifolds going to 2 single pipes down the car
the drivers side travels across to the passenger side then they both travel down to the back of the car.
the drivers side pipe then travels back accross to the drivers side of the car

the silencers are both at the front end of the car and they are about the size of kitchen rolls, there is no other silencers also the exhast runs under the axle which means that every time you jack the car up you have to remove the exhast

the exhasts are in stainless steel approc 60mm and one peice no joins from the rear up to the headers

is this a normal routing for camaro any one got pictures of an origanal /decent aftermarket set up

Normal routing for a V8 is a single pipe going down passenger side, over the top of the axle into a silencer behind it, then two pipes come out of the silencer which go out the back of the car.

The pipes of a "true dual" custom made system like yours often are routed up the passenger side to maximize ground clearance - mine does the same. Only difference is I have two pipes going over the axle into two silencers side-on behind it - where the single stock muffler would have been. I will try and get some pictures up of it at some point.

Don't know what they were thinking putting your pipes under the axle not over it...easier to weld up maybe? With only two kitchen-roll sized silencers your car must sound nice though

aha i see thanks for the info i think i will go to an exhast place and get a stainless bit made up to go up and over the axle then

oh and it does sound good
