i'm having a few issues with my 2.8 V6.

i thought i'd ask on here befor i start getting the spanners out.

the engine run's fine with no miss fires, but when you come to a stop the rev's die and some times even stalls.
also the oil guage is now going between 40 and 80 with the rev's and then whiles driving stay at close to 80.

has anyone had this problem befor or got any idea's?

Ben

Hi Ben.
Don't worry about the oil pressure. As long as its more than 0 on idle you'l be okay!

Before any parts are bought and money wasted, remove the throttle body and give it a good cleaning with carb cleaner and a toothrush around the plate. Or even remove the big pipe that goes to it and use the toothbrush then.

Remove and flsuh the idle control valve that should be on the side of the throttle body. Squirt carb cleaner in it and shake it about!

Check ALL vacuum lines are not split or come off. Including vacuum canister, cabon canister, servo etc.

One of these should solve our problem.

Report back.
Andy.
