Just MOT'd the IROC - failed on the handbrake and the fog light isn't illuminating at the moment for some reason. Lots of advisories to work through as well. One of which was the front tyres. Now the standard 245/50/16 size for the IROC-Z apparently isn't being imported into the UK anymore. I've been ringing round all my local fitters, all of whom are singing the same song - none of the main wholesalers are holding any stock and they won't be getting any more into the country. Sinton's say the same thing. So, I guess the way forward will be moving to a 245/45/16 tyre, which is apparently more common, if I want to keep the wheels stock. |

Hi I have a tyre supplier that can still get hold of these.(245/50/16's) He can get around a dozen at the moment but should be able to source more should you need them. Can you give me a phone number he can contact you on. Thanks Si |

Just had the same problem a few months ago. Kumho's are the answer and I can recommend Southam Tyres in Warwickshire (who supply and fit) or an online site. They work out around £90 per tyre fitted. Kumho Ecsta 245x50x16 |

I've tried the online sites. I've had four local dealers ringing round, with no success. I think any examples left on a shelf somewhere are probably all there for the moment, as the feedback i've had from kumho/nexen etc is that there aren't any more coming in. Hopefully, that'll change, and if any of you know of a pair stashed away somewhere, i'd appreciate a tip off! |

No problems.Glad he could help out. He should be able to source some more should anyone else need some. He is a hot rodder so understands the problem trying to get odd/ discontinued sizes and is always a good contact to have (He can also get Hoosiers - Should anyone be racing !!!) Si |
