Hi all Well, after 2 days of rain, I got in the car after work and found the passenger seat was damp. Seems to be rain coming in from the joints above the side windows (the latch side as it were). Anything I can do? I'm going to sit the dehumidifier in the car over night to dry it out, and I'm already planning some work to cure the rust in the t-top centre bar. (Probably ordering a new centre section to be rust proofed and then replacing the existing one, so new door rubbers would be going on as well.) Anything I can do in the mean time to stop the leak? |

This worked on an old MR2 T top I had.: Take off the offending T top. Put some black silicon sealant on the rubber where it's leaking. Cover it in clingfilm so it is not going anywhere you don't want. Replace the top in position and leave until it dries, then remove the clingfilm. This should create a better seal than the tired rubber. You can't really see it unless you're looking either. Let me know if that helps! Jon |

Cheers jon, I will give it a go when I get a spare minute! Been busy with work, and the poor girl's been sat in the rain for the last few days and back in the garage with the dehumidifier on the passenger seat at night. Should have the funds soon to get her a bit more sorted soon. |
