I really like this. I love an unmolested original looking car. There was a nice one on Facebook recently - so clean and then he went and Barried the whole thing up with hockey stripes and fake IROC badges. Totally ruined. These are getting rare.

Fuel gauge totally normal! No glove box (but it should have a centre console) and they do go quite well :)

Thanks ukzz4iroc, it's our first Camaro. I've had a good response from Chevrolet who have sorted out the paint code for me so I can sort of the little bumps and scrapes, really helpful people are the main Chevrolet headquarters.

Anyone know what the red rocker switch and the black rocker switch with 0/1 on under the steering wheel are?

Location:Stourbridge West Mids.
Hi Firstly .Welcome,nice motor.
I think you may find a plate on the hood slam rail near the radiator. I'de stand corrected tho.(I'me no expert)
Also the RPO build sheet is usually on the inside of the center console arm stowage.there is also info on the inside door only visible when open.
Re Fuel Gauge Yep they react very responsively,appears to be no damping on the float,arm moving the pot+IMHO insufficient baffles in tank, Tiz politely stating its thirsty.
That said frequent late, after midnight, Stourbridge - Blackpool trips a decade+ ago,did suprise me. My then daily 85. 2 litre Celica st squat trunk one used as much fuel as the TPI Iroc. I guess although twas less than half the displacement but ran over 2.5 times the RPM for same non stop M.way cruise speed.
My own experience, Re 88 Iroc was n still is is the more gas in the tank the less distracting and erratic the gauge becomes.
What glovebox indeed!
Amongst some of the utter drivel on the web,there are some VERY clued up geezers.
Keepin Mr unwanted OHMs,out of the electrics is one of the biggest issues.Mr OHM was right! and can cause chaos when he sneaks in.especially after standing unused for long periods.

Hello, thanks for the reply.

No numbers anywhere, must have fallen off through old age (I know what it's like)

The car seems very economical, I'm really surprised, quite nippy too.

I think it stood for a while before we brought it, it is a bugger to start at times, new air filter, oil filter and spark plugs on their way, battery levels look good, turns well just doesn't fire quickly. Oh and the temperature gauge is always well under half way.

I'm using the Camaro all the time as our 1990 Cadillac has just failed it's MOT as there's no fog light on it, passed without advisories when we brought it with a new MOT for the garage last year though :silent:
