The very first auto trans I rebuilt was a turbo 400 out of my Cadillac. Took 4 hours start to finish, and I knew it was done right

I did the shift improver kit on my initial transmission, it´ll break your neck.

Thanks for the advice and posting up the two links, as both stated that condition of box was unknown, I have opted to have mine rebuilt for £750, at least that way I can hope it will be good, it will have a warrenty on the box and torque converter, only issue I got now is wiring loom is a mess. I think I should put in a seperate topic though as not related to the engine/box etc i posted initially
