Has anyone had any experiences with the Pontiac Fiero ?? Muting having one as a daily runner, as its a bit smaller for the jab and thrust of our roads as become more conjested with non licence non insurance non road taxing Europeans |

I've not heard of any experiences with them, are you thinking of going for one? looking at pics, they kind of remind me of MR2's? |

Plastic body, galvanised chassis, 2.8 V6 slightly dodgy 80's build quality. Used by kit car builders for dodgy Ferrari kits |

Should be an easy rest project then, doubt there will be any rust on there Plus it must have a good power : weight ratio with the plastic shell and being a smaller car with a V6 Funnily enough when looking at those pics, there were a fair few Ferrari replica's built on those shells |

I drive an 88 Fiero and absolutely love it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/55031760@N ... 294943710/ Not a great drive?? Rubbish my Fiero handles really well and drives very well. I have the GT with the 2.8 V6 in it and it is very pokey. Up until 6 weeks go I used mine a a daily driver but now got a new job that means travelling by train so only drive her at weekends now. Let me know if you have any questions? Cheers |

Yours is a mint one!!! Like the updates with the dash/console area. Yours is a 89? One of the last ones I'm presuming which, is the ones to go for. Pontiac had sorted all the issues that the early ones suffered and if I'm right the later ones had a totally different suspension set up |

Your car does indeed look great. I've always liked the looks prsonally . My comment was only based on the word of a couple of guys I knew that test drove Fieros before then buying Camaros/Firebirds.. (i think they wanted V8's in reality) What's the difference between GT and non GT ? |

Not quite mint - previous owner tried to spray a little area on the rear hood thinking white was white lol. Ive only done a few very subtle mods - the interior dash being one of them. 88 was actually the last year for them. Yes the 88 GT has completely different suspension from the 84-87s. Bear this in mind if you want to replace/upgrade the suspension as the parts are harder to find . But the 88's are the more desirable model. Mine is also quite rare as the rear spoiler was an "option off" so never had one fitted as standard. My husband and I rebuilt the top end this time last year. Amazing difference when put back together. Breathed new life into her and that's with only 50k miles on the clock. Quote: Your car does indeed look great.
Thank you . I agree with you entirely as my husband as a 97 Trans Am and when you go from one to the other the difference is noticeable - but then the Trans Am has an awful lot of suspension goodies on her The Fieros just aren't as bad as people make out. (i think they wanted V8's in reality) What's the difference between GT and non GT ? I must admit I do miss my 91 firebird with the v8 in but with the stainless cat back on the fiero - she sounds like a "baby-v8" Tbh I can't for the life of me remember what the differences are but this site tells all http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_Fiero. No it what it came with from DVLA when imported here Its funny though as that's my nickname for her lol
