met the fella w/ the cuda from penzance at chelsea
more camaros you could throw a stick at :thumbup: :thumbup: but the traffic was so bad the bird proper overheated there and back and all my headlights and indicators have gone mad :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

Oh cool I thought you'd spot him and his Cuda :thumbup: he did say he would go to Chelsea he's a nice chap but a bit quite, originally from London but lives down here now.

Do you know what making it overheat?

Lighting is probably an earthing problem?

i found him alright as some were a bit clicky there :problem: everyone I spoke to overheated getting there and traffic was worse coming home (I did about 1/2 mile in 40 minutes) so i wont be going back......
350 pontiac is meant to run at hot at 195 but mine went up to 230 :problem: firebird 68 said drill a couple of 1/8 holes in the thermostat but i will get another and fit it as they are only cheap but it never overheats in normal use...
indicators work one week and not the next but my highbeam switch seems busted and i think it might have a bit of dirt jamming it ??? will check it out later.....

I think i got there just as you were driving off. I remember seeing a poncho with lights going crazy at the front. It was almost like the high beams were wired into the indicators. I think i have it on video. Ye it was weird, loads of people's motors were overheating. A Corvette was overheating and was even pissing water out of the rad. Even a GTO (Mitsubishi) had boiled out most of its contents and the temp gauge was off the scale. Lots of people's lights were also all over the place. looking back, could it have been that start of that Stephen King film where all the trucks get possessed? Overdrive? Also traffic was unusually heavy, not sat in traffic there that long before :?

Ah it sounds like the indicators are working using the rear indicator earth and running power up through your main beam. I've also had things like this when the wrong bulb (single filament in a double filament socket) or a fault bulb is being used, have you changed any bulbs lately?

I have an over warm motor at the moment but I think mine is the divider plates in the pump this is common as they never seem to get replaced and they rust out in time especially if there no anti freeze, so that the root I'm going down as its not pumping like it should.

All engines should run around the same temp give or take a few degrees I would check your pump plates also but beware that when you buy new ones there are 2 different types they changed in 69 but the front castings are interchangable so you can have a newer one, you can tell by looking at the pump shape as they are different.
