Hi, as title says anyone recommend or is selling a good car cover for the Z28 potentially the car is going to be outside for the Winter so would need to be something pretty decent really, any help or tips greatly appreciated.

I bought the Moltex Fleece lined breathable car cover from Hamilton Classic and am happy with it :)

I'd never cover a car sat outside.

Irrespective of how good they are the car will sweat underneath and deteriorate faster.

Mine lives outside, in a less than ideal location, and it's fine, but it did have an extensive rebuild!

Not perfect I know, but without it my interior would get soaked, oh and my insurance would be invalid!

If you remove the cover on dry windy days then surely the sweating problem shouldn't be too bad should it? The car currently has a immobiliser on it but I want to beef up the security on it what do you guys recommend?

Nothing beats a garage, but the cover is have is pretty good.

Security wise you could disconnect a few leads under the bonnet, but frankly an immobiliser should be enough to stop them driving it away. The other worry is having it picked up onto a truck, a ground anchor can help - but unlike with bikes it is easy to forget it is there!

Keeping it out of sight under cover of course also helps!

Mine lives under this. It is VERY breathable, sweating will occur but it is minimal and due to its Goretex like material, moisture will evaporate. Pictured here is the Stormshield Plus, for long term outdoor storage.

Circa £300.00, they ain't cheap! I dare say something of the equivalent quality could be sourced from the USA far cheaper. However this IS tailored made and ISN'T from a generic pattern, it's the best cover I've used, it really hugs the contours of the body.

However as mentioned earlier, no cover is without drawbacks. Sweating will occur, but it is very minimal and will quickly evaporate, but because the cover is so breathable it loses its ability to sustain a perfect seal. After prolonged heavy rain the cover will allow water to penetrate its surface, thankful it will dry off once the weather cheers up. Sometimes I do peel the cover back and dry off The surface if the weather has been particularly nasty.
