My 77 is I'm told almost factory spec with exception of a z28 trunk spoiler....it was resprayed by dealer before I bought it..havun faded due to Texas sun.....the interior is untouched though...I like it though...but thinking maybe I should replace worn interior parts so it kinda matches fresh exterior....my thinking being it might look odd to potential buyers if and when I sell....views please.

While there is something charming about an original car that has gently aged over 20, 30 or 40 years and carries the small imperfections that come from an active life and the odd small 'battle scar ' there is a lot of patina around that is just folk cashing in for a current fad and the cars and trucks just represent the worst abuse and neglect .
A lot of patina is just a fashion victim thing and some of the fake patina is just really sad .
Just my 2 cents ...

I think if the whole car was patina'd then perhaps leave it, but if the interior and exterior do not patch it will just look out of place.

Fake patina is just weird.. real wear and tear that matches is quite cool if an original unrestored car.. I love going to see old race cars with proper battle scars.

The faux pas patina is not in my top 100 of paint jobs.
I can just about stand original patina lacquered over......just.
There´s a Pop on the cover of a recent Custom Car, the
owner reckons people love it, hmmmm

My Camaro has patina, can´t afford another repaint.

Natural patina i'm ok with, especially on 50's pickups where it looks the part. I have seen several adverts with as new as 80's cars with bad paint jobs, and the seller adds 'patina' to jump on the bandwagon. What's next, selling a car with a 'pre-worn' engine for authenticity.

I think the bumble bee 2nd gen camaro from transformers looked good with minimal patina. When people go as far as stripping down a fender for example and water it down to get it rusty - not a fan.
