Got hold of some redundant railway sleepers a few months back. Sliced em' up for a two tier system...

Damn site more stable and solid than those silly metal ramps...

Decent amount of clearance too...

Only downside is the weight, they are heavy! But being heavy they're dense, don't split, weather resistant (creosoted) and most importantly do NOT move when climbing on to them.

Looks great... Looks like they clear the bottom of the front wings when the car rolls back down...

You could even fit some casters on the sides so you can flip em up to be able to move them :wtf:

Thanks :) They do clear the front wings, and easily too. The casters would probably make manouvering them somewhat easier, appreciated

Great bit of ingenuity  Looks like you've got enough crawl space to get as far as the transmission too, making inspection of the driveline and steering / suspension parts nice and easy.

Thanks :) Luckily received the sleepers for free as well...sawing through them is another matter though :tired:

You can easily work on the car as far back as the middle of the transmission. However I am toying with the idea of making up two more for the rear, and driving the whole car up in to the air.
