Hi guys, looking for some advice on what starter to get, I have a 71 SS with a 454 instead of the 396. The Transmission is a TH400 3 speed Auto.
Would really appreciate the help.

A high torque mini starter would be a good idea. They're lighter, smaller and more efficient than the stock starter motor. I use one on my ZZ4 350 c.i I'm very happy with the result. These guys carry them, but obviously they're across the pond... http://www.summitracing.com/int/search/ ... /7-4l-454/ However I'm pretty sure these guys in the U.K. will carry one also... http://www.realsteel.co.uk/ As for what specific starter motor you'll require, I'm afraid I don't know. I'm sure someone on here will be along shortly with advice
