Pleasingly my '81 Z28 came with some age related tin worm! :roll:

That was only part of it, the rest of the boot sill had some of that lovely sunset orange metalwork too.

Lastly, and probably the area of greatest concern, (although the photo doesn't shown how bad it is) peeling roof skins.

The boot sill has turned out pretty well after it recieved the much needed attention. Not a new panel by any means, some welding took place with new metal instead.

Body is a little heavier now due to having the hole removed ;)

Finally the roof. Old rusty metal removed with new metal shaped and welded in (no more swirl marks in the paint either :D ) New weatherseals fitted as well. Sadly these have yet to bed in and as such the electric windows are on strike when it comes to butting up with the rubber.

I don't have the skill or money to turn one out like that. I'll do the best with the resources to hand :)
