My rear bumper has seen better days! I've found a bumper strip for $200 or a second hand whole bumper for $350. Unfortunately shipping for these seems to be about $300. Being new to all this I'm not sure what kind of options there are - do bits like this appear anywhere here or should I just bite the bullet? The other question I have is about the bits between the trunk and the bumper. The were not on the car when I bought it but I found them in the boot - sorry I mean trunk. The look terrible which is why I presume they were not on: It looks like there's a few coats of paint on them - 2 different reds with a black in between! Can these be cleaned up and repainted or will they always look terrible. And what are they called?? |

Someone has changed the rear od mine for a later fibreglass one, so I don't know about the rear filler, but it looks exactly the same as the front one, and the bumper rubber. On mine the filler was rotten too, so I just stripped it out and haven't had one for years, doesn't bother me, and I think it looks cleaner without. I also have no bumper rubber, as mine had been removed when I got the car, holes filled and painted body colour. Not much help, sorry |
