Depends what you are planning to do with the car to what cam you should go for.
I've got an Edlebrock Performer RPM cam and full package.
This is great for high end power but this causes problems with low vacumn at idle and slow speeds which can affect yourt brakes unless you fit a vacumn storage canister or similar devices.

cam selection should dependon your transmission too, if you are running a stock torque converter, you dont really want to be going more than around 270 degrees advertised duration.a big cam WILL affect drivability too with low vacuum and poor servo assistance on the brakes

I find the Edelbrock RPM cam really comes on strong at 3000 rpm.. . Dyno printout proves it too.

Thanks guys, iam looking into the edelbrock cams, oh and re brakes.. that dose explain why i had very little stopping power before!
So when iam looking at cams should i look at advertised duration or at 50 thou? its all a bit confusing i must say, theres so much to consider as ive found out after some research. Anyway thanks for your answers folks iam digesting the info. Cheers Ant.
