Looking to complete a twin Procharger installation in my 1977 street Camaro. This is an example of the stuff that will be hanging off the front of the SBC. It will have the capability of consuming enough air to support 2000hp although I don't have the drive chain or chassis to accommodate that kind of horsepower so I will be limiting it with gear ratios and electronic boost controllers. I still want to go round corners as well. After all this is the UK!!!!!! |

Hi Nigel, it's slowly coming together. It is all being done by myself due to budget and to some extent know how...The idea behind two is that The larger F3 series blower can over heat on the street. I think spinning two smaller blowers gives less heat and a cooler discharge. Lastly I want to experiment with compound Procharging.....cheers...Nige A Pro mod car has just gone 3.92 in the 1/8th mile with a pair of F2 Prochargers whilst competing with PSI screw blower equipped cars. The screws make 50psi just off idle. So the compound centrifugals have a lot of development and work. Parallel twin Prochargers are not very common but the few that exist have been very promising.....I'm just taking it from the drag strip to the street...... Anyway even if I cant get extra horsepower or driveability it has been fun and the main thing is that It's alive... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgWrcDRt3wo |
