got the wife a 2001 disco and was about 2.5 years old ....1st year ok then after that anything what could go wrong did ..chopped it in for a defender which is mad off road , can pull a anything and makes a good kids climbing frame

they have yet to be fitted

Hoosier reckon a 275 will fit an 8 inch rim

Summit/BF Goodrich reckon the minimum rim width for a 275 tyre is 7.5", maximum 9.5".

I have noticed the boy racers around my way do the opposite
skinny tyres on wide rims?? whats all this about as it looks shite......

Ah yes, the stretched look.. popular in the lowered 'stanced' Jap and VW scene...
It does look rubbish, and often considered dangerous, due to the tyre lip sealing badly, but they do it so the car can sit low on wide wheels without hitting the arches...

Ye there are a few cars here (mainly old skool golf's) doing the extreme camber and extremely narrow tyre thing. I'm not a fan. Not against it, it does look interesting on some cars but i'm a bulgey tyre type person myself
