I wondered that... i had an old TR7 that made a similar noise until i replaced the macpherson strut rubbers. But when they MOT'd the camaro i saw them stick a crowbar under the wheel and test for that and they didnt see any movement.

However i assume they are used to citroen's and daewoos.. so i guess are not used to the action of 2 tonnes of pig iron :-)

maybe i should double check that :-)

The car is really sound. It was a Miami car, then california then UK (wow.. what a ride! :-/) So there is no rust. I thought at first that it was the front fender flexing, or not bolted on tightly somewhere, but all looks ok.

any ideas?... it has been driving me crazy for 4 years and makes it sound like a real junker, when it is actually a lovely drive.

Hi re your front end noise, check out subframe mounts over the years they deterioate and can become noisy on a poor surface.

Car Details:79' camaro road & track day toy. 383 stroker, 5 speed TKO trans, lots of suspension stuff, 13" Vette brakes, 18" wheels.
Location:Luton
I was thinking missing bump stops, or more likely it's probably got the original rubber (likely now disintegrated) body mount bushes so could be subframe banging around in extreme situations..
