One of the few things that niggles is the slight whine from the diff on drive (quieter on over-run). Not bad but there.
I have changed the diff oil/no alteration. A quick look in the Chilton manual suggests its not straightforward to change the pinion bearing (if thats the noise) and I know from past experience (trying unsuccessfully to cure a whining diff on a triumph snag) getting the backlash etc right is tricky.
Ive seen many yank motors (& quite a few camaros) for sale where it states axle noisy in the ad. Is this common? Do other folks get pros to overhaul their rear ends? (I see Hauser do an overhaul for £375 or something-is that the whole axle, wheel brgs etc-or just the diff?)
Cheers,Andrew
