Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly, lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Always good to see one that has not been abused by idiotic owners or destroyed by the beautiful British climate ...
A good interior is always a give away to tell a lot about a car's previous history and owners .
Body looks great and if it were mine I would try a tune up on the V6 as a short term , run it about to 'get to know it ', then maybe find a 350 sbc and th350 autobox for an easy swap at some later date.
A good find at that price

Thanks. Yeah that's pretty much my plan exactly. I'll give it a good service with new plugs, ht's, oil etc and possibly dizzy then stick on a new Edelbrock or Holley carb and filter to begin with.

Well done  I bought mine back in October, the interior was a bit "crispy". Your's doesn't seem to be too bad though, any verification on the mileage? Not near Sudbury are you?

Yeah I just looked at your interior resto pics. Good job.. Mine's actually pretty good. I'm about 35 miles from Sudbury but I'm actually in Hadleigh quite often. 8-)

That's good news :) If you need any new parts it's cheaper to have em' shipped via an exporter like STS (Gt. Leighs Essex) than buy em' direct from the USA. Plus you won't be over charged on duty and taxes (which our government likes to fleece us on ;) )

Ah yes. Good plan. I ordered a water pump for my Caddy from California once. Cost me about 50 or 60 quid in postage and taxes.
