Car Details:79' camaro road & track day toy. 383 stroker, 5 speed TKO trans, lots of suspension stuff, 13" Vette brakes, 18" wheels.

Looking good.. I'd be careful about going any lower without very careful measuring, and standard spring rates...

My tyres sits just in line, or even below the wheel arch, and it's too low really. It rubs the sway bar a little on full lock, but doesn't hit the arch lip or the wheel well because I have virtually zero deflection due to solid bushes, high spring rate and lots of camber, but I'd prefer it an inch higher in reality.

Car Details:1986 Camaro, bought into Spain by me in 1993.
305 replaced by a 355, 750 Demon carb, RPM AirGap intake, Brodix heads, Hedman Hedders, 3" Flowmaster exhaust.
Wheels are Summit aluminium 5 spokes, tyres are 245 rear 225 front BF Goodrich.
B/M transmission, battery relocated to the rear, GoodMark 4" cowl steel hood.
Location:Spain East Coast
It's a pain to do but I thought after cutting 1/2 - 1 coil you had to drive the car and let it settle.
Then, if necessary cut more, 1/2 at a time.

I lowered mine with Hotchkiss springs, then I removed the iron heads for aluminium, iron water pump for aluminium,
air conditioning all gone, all the wiring for the electronic QJet was gone.........in the end the front has risen up. :lolno:
But I won´t lower it any more due to ground clearance issues, especially the spoiler.

It's just my opinion but you really ought to consider taller rubber. I think they look a bit silly when the arches aren't filled properly, the wheels just look lost in there, you'd have to lower it more than practical to make it 'look' right. The pic below is mine with 17" rims. The stock tyres fitted to the second gen were 205/75/15 which are 27" tall.

255/55/17 rear and 225/55/17 fronts.

My ride height is just over 1" lower than stock
