I´ve just installed a set of these plugs into my Camaro.
http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/e ... /overview/

They claim better mileage and horsepower, not sure how those who rated the product
measured the increase in horsepower........

But they have smoothed my idle out significantly, at $5.99 each they ain´t cheap but
I´m hoping I won´t be buying that many of them.

Cool beans, was looking for some decent plugs to replace my NGKs.

Just placed an order for them from Summit, along with MSD leads, dizzy cap, rotor, coil and a dizzy spanner. Ouch!

Cheers

I hope you noted which plugs for your application, mine are with gaskets, did you need tapered ?

OMG I hope I did´nt mislead you.

It would be one of these three, depending on reach.

If you just ordered you can phone in to change them...01 330 630 3030.

Cheers for that, think I'm OK.....

Just checked and I ordered the E3-48 which Summit says is for the 5.7 (which is what I've got). E3-42 is for the 5.0 and E3-40 is for the 3.1. As long as Summit are right then I've ordered the right ones!

What did confuse me is that I only just changed my plugs. When I took the old ones out they were iridium ones which were .750 reach with gaskets. The replacement ones I just fitted were NGK and were .440 reach tapered, but were supposed to be direct replacement for the ACDelco ones originally fitted (apparently).

Therefore I didn't actually know what was right, hence I latched onto your post with such enthusiasm!!! According to Summit the .750 reach (E3-48) is for the 5.7 so hopefully all is well?!?!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, but don't worry if they're wrong it's my fault not yours

Cheers

Jon

Thanks for all your help 3rdgenamalc, you're a legend!

After much searching / advice it turned out my car had the wrong plugs in when I bought it. It had long reach, gasket type plugs. To make matters worse Summits application chart was wrong. Thanks to 3rdgenmalc and the internet, it turns out the standard plugs for the 5.7 L98 with standard camaro cast heads is a short reach tapered plug, namely the E3-42

Duly ordered them, along with a set of MSD leads (plus tidies), MSD rotor arm, MSD dizzy cap and MSD GM blaster coil. All fitted today, timing adjusted (again) and she runs sweet as anything. Very pleased indeed!

Would also recommend these plugs, just double / triple check to make sure you order the right ones

I'm pleased that you're pleased.
Good outcome, I was worried there for a while.

I'm waiting for a new harmonic balancer, 8 incher, I've had a 6 inch on there for years.
305 uses 6.610 in give or take there are other diameters close to that but the 350
needs an 8 due to stroke.
I'm hoping to get rid of a niggling wobble that I've been treating as a misfire.
