Car Details:2012 Camaro (Euro spec) and other stuff
Hi boys and girls

I just got a 2012 Euro spec Camaro in Infernal Orange.

J'habit in the Independent Republic of West Yorkshireshire.

I've had a couple of GM F-bodies previously, but this is my first Camaro. I'm quite a Mopar guy, but fancied a change, GM now level-pegging with Mopar...

Anyway, while I'm here, the Camaro will get a lt of use and I fancy rustproofing/undersealing it, ayone had any experience of getting this done or can make any recommendation please?

Hello and welcome! Very nice colour choice! Good idea on the protection, cavity insulation can be done at home if you have access to a compressor. Waxoyl (wax oil) type products will work through a schultz gun and can be sprayed into chasis rails, nooks and crannies. There are companies that can do this as well if you don't have the gear, usually off road / land rover type places are a good bet as they try and waterproof as well as possible for water submersion.

If you need something for the exposed areas i.e. floor pans etc. then a hardening substance like underbody seal applied with a paint brush work well. There are a variety of subtances out there, jotun has a good reputation and are UK based. Anything that's for marine use is a really good option!

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").

Hello and welcome!

Personally I don't see myself as having any particular allegiance to any of the manufacturers, I just like the cars. There are awesome cars from all the big three, both in the past and today (rather more limited today!)
