Car Details:1983 CAMARO 3RD GEN - 4.8 V8 - GETTING HEAVILY RESTORED AND THEN CUSTOMIZED
HI all .. just thought to share my project with you all as once its all done it will be up for sale - and it wont take long by the seems of it . EVEN FROM TODAY I DONT KNOW IF ITS AN IROC ? Z28 ? ANY IDEAS PLEASE ..

its had a huge amount of work done and a lot of time and money already spent on it as listed below - and il load just some of the pics taken some weeks back to give examples of it - and the mechanic is german and has serviced all my cars for some time and he loves to customize American vehicles into one offs so your mates having got what you have - - I can pass details for you to him if need be -- we are from outer London

brand new Lamborghini Gallardo exhaust + 2 x twin exhaust tips - costing £5333.00 yes 5k

had to have the boot re made to accept the exhaust - £450

brand new progressive wheels at £1250.00

4 x brand new white writing raised letters tyres costing £466

engine fully serviced and lots added costing many hundreds

having a full respray - gloss black with AA orange bottom half costing £1800

brand new holley carb and fitted costing £300

some repairs and small dents repaired costing £490

replaced brake pipes and other parts underneath her

brand new high torque starter motor being fitted as we speak costing £250

bodywork being smoothed over (( wings to bumper )) £385.00

bodywork rear areas being smoothed over and also front grille holes being smoothed over a few hundred again .

brand new green ( prism ) under car green neon light kit going to be fitted £150

original rear lights but now slight smokey looking ..

brand new discs and pads etc - costing quite a fair bit

all new engine gaskets throughout engine etc

new inner wing plastic parts

having the word ( Camaro ) inserted into bumper with red light bar behind Perspex so it comes on with the brake lights -- being done as we speak

im sure lots more will go into this but so far around £13k upwards and more to follow and that's without the car value to start with .

im sure its not the best by far but in the hope it will be a slight one off with a few of the bits being added and being done .

im having fun having it all done and the garage will provide full receipts for everything too and I also have the receipts for the bits listed above already all from the dealers for parts and work from garage too --

it was just a project I took on and il swap it for an older type mustang or a vehicle and cash my way or a campervan - I might also consider a motorcycle in part ex also -- who knows -- anything in the world could take my fancy - ((( cash either way for the right deal )))

Hi there -- thanks for showing interest . and yes its all for pure love and fun - im going to do a mustang after and cut a Bentley into a pickup -- cant wait -- I just love the fun of it all --

it will then go to ebay and fetch what it fetches -- I see the average Camaro fetching £4500 - £5500 just plain standard and all needing a little work so I would like to think id get a touch more and I know il be looking near double this or close to it or it can go back to America maybe who knows :)

I love the car and its going to a few shows in the next few months and magazines also and then it will be ready to go -

once again thanks for your kind interest

Cool' I am curious as to why you used a Lamborghini exhaust on a camaro? Did you have it laying about and needed a use for it? I have to admit I love the idea of making a Bentley pick up even if it's just to piss off the Bentley owners club posse , have you seen the drag racing Bentley that appeared on the scene last year ?

Interesting project and great to see lots of personal touches.. A lot of them aren't going to be to everybody's taste, but that's not the point, if you like it that's what count..

I'm a little confused if you're continuing with the project, or looking to sell it on as it is now.. ????

4.8 V8, is it a Chevy engine?
De-stroked maybe?
Or am I showing my ignorance of Camaro engine cubes?
