Hi yall, last night I returned to Camaro ownership with a red '95 6-speed 5.7 hardtop....badged as a Z28 but dunno if this is sticker stuff or whatever-car is great anyhow. :P :chevy:

Highway Heaven is being swathed in sound; hard acceleration through all them gears, then lazy (illegal?) 2000 rpm highway cruising in top gear with Bose driven Blues struggling to overcome the pervading MagnaFlow 3" music....and 250 traffic-free miles through Scotland, heading homeward to the Bonnie Clyde.

Hard to get out of the car as journey's end arrived......let's go someplace else.......OK c'mon.

My first manual Camaro.....shifting is sweet and sure, I was expecting to perhaps be annoyed by constant pedal pressing, but the reality is pretty good fun just doing it, even in traffic-light stops -rewarded by the sounds; so different from any auto-box sound track shifts.

Hello CAPNGEOFF,

Congrats on returning the Camaro owning fraternity, and many thanks for your very colourful description of your driving home.
Guessing you're in Scotland ?

Hi Stu - yes; I am in Scotland, West Coast by the sea....a cute wee picture postcard home -all lochs seas mountains islands and glens, with the odd village here n there.
Camaro country seems like, if you like open roads, and some M-ways within reach if that's your bag.
Loving this Z28, loads of seamless power and deep deep deep notes satisfying the earoles.

Do miss the wide skies and windy open-top feel of my old '88 Iroc convertibles though.....might look to swap over if anyone feels the need for a red n black tin-top 6-spd manual with only 48,000 miles on it?
No rush.........
