so my 69 Camaro is laid up in my Dad's gargae and has been since February when we brought the car. In what we thought was perfect running order.
Did a general check over and sorted some small issues and tried to change the worn our rear brake pads.
Ever since trying to replace the rear bake pads the brakes have NEVER worked.
Failed an MOT with less than 50% brake capacity.
The brakes have been bled so many times and for hours on end.
Master cylinder seems to be OK.
No leaks in the system.
Dad just rang me, Bless him. He tried to use a new Brake Proportioning Valve lock tool to bleed the brakes again today.
Had wrong thread so he screwed the valve back in.
now there is no pressure at all going to the back end. Not a peed of pressure with my poor mum stuck n the driving seat pumping away.
Every time one of us touches this car, something on the brakes is wrong goes wrong and it keeps going from bad to worse.
My Dad really knows his was around cars so when he is stumped it must be close to the start of the Zombie apocalypse?
I've all but given up any hope of driving this car at all this year which is as close to heart breaking as it can get.
Does anyone know anything about these brakes and can come over and see what we are doing wrong?
The car is based at my Dad's house in Thame (Oxfordshire).
Meanwhile, and don't beat me down.
My 1965 Mustang soldiers on like a work horse with absolutely no issues what so ever so at least I have some US V8 entertainment to hand.
I wanted to sell the Mustang to pay towards the Camaro and am having to hold back as I am not sure this Camaro is ever going to turn a wheel again.
HELP.
Any help.
Stuck and lost.
All I can do is look at it and start it up from time to time.
