Going to go view this camaro.

Not the colour choice I had in mind but I think you need to see it in the metal to make a final decision.

406 engine? Is that a crate motor? I thought they went up to a 402. Would you say the price is about right? It has been for sale for about a year as I have seen it come up on my searches.

Looks a bit confusing to me.

It's badged up as a 327. But has a 400 small block in it, taken out to 406 which is quite common, but not numbers matching (they never came with a 400sbc, biggest was a 396bbc)

It's also badged as an SS, but I'm pretty sure the SS was only available with a 350 or 396. So it's probably not an SS either.

Also, it says 10 bolt rear end, I thought they only came with 12 bolt from the factory so it may be worth checking that. Not 100% sure though, but it's clearly been fettled with (tubular control arms etc.) so could have had the rear end swapped as well.

Seems a bit expensive imho, but it's up for more on ebay so there will be some haggle room I'm sure! Just make sure it's been put together well as it's clearly not very orginal (which doesn't really matter if it's well built and what you want!)

Hope that helps, good luck with the viewing! Definately looks nice......

Nice looking car, but clearly far from original.

They're importers, so unlikely to have any history on the car, other than any documents that came with the car when they bought it.

Definitely worth going to have a look, and a haggle.

Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle, disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Looks good in the pictures, but you have to be very careful with imported freshly painted cars. They can hide a lot of very poor repairs under the surface.
With the 406 if it is built correctly there will be lots of torque and power.
There are a couple of 1st gen cars on ebay now that are worth a look a white 67 and a green 69 both cheaper than this car and both look good.

This one seems to cheap.

That one is a little over budget for me but the write up and matching numbers make it very appealing. Would want to buy new alloys for it though
