Hi I need to remove the centre part of my 68 dash board to fit a new starter button. The old button is not working but i can,t see how to remove this panel that holds the heater controls etc. Also can I get to the ignition switch once this panel is removed? Thanks for any help.

On my 67 the screws for the center are at the bottom and you will also need to remove the ash try. You will have a center console in yours which I don't know Inuit you might have to move that to get to the bottom screws.
It's easier to get to the ignition switch by removing the clocks. If you don't have a tilt volume you can undo the nuts that hold the steering column and you will have enough clearance to remove the clocks, saves taking the steering wheel off.
