What do you really want? Brakes to stop your car, or bling to impress other people? Cheers, Martin |

Don't forget it depends on what size wheels you're gonna use, as it's unlikely you'll get anything bigger than a 12" disc behind a standard 15" wheel.. |

OK I want to stop the car better than the drums and I'm not over impressed by the "standard size" discs that I have on my 67 and the problem is that I've already got the rear Wilwood conversion that I bought with a lot of other parts so I'm sort of stuck with that really or I could sell the rears and then fit something else. I'm using 17" wheels so plenty of room in there. I've already spent weeks looking at all the different types, its a bit crazy and I've not bothered much in the past but other cars on the road are able to stop a lot quicker than me these days and they seem to have a habit of doing every thing they can to pass and then braking hard for the roundabout that has been there for years but they only now realized it!! and now I have to stop a car length quicker than I had allowed for or modify there rear!!! |

There's no reason you can't use the Wilwood rear kit you have with any other front kit. As long you fit the right size brake cylinder with enough pressure for the front brakes you're fitting, and an adjustable proportioning valve to the rear you can use pretty much any combination. The C5 style front disc kits 'should' fit behind most 17" wheels and pretty cost effective as it uses mostly Corvette parts, so no custom discs and pads to source when you need em', just easily available off the shelf bits. Baer do a version using the same caliper, or 'vette kits can be sourced from a number of different places. Wilwood kits will also work well, as well as others available. |

There are 2 Direct Bolt on replacement Kits from Wilwood . They are dual piston and around 400 bucks a kit including pins and pads . For more braking power there are conversions based on C5 vette parts All the above come from Ecklers for '67 and'68 cars . |
