I have just had my 1st gen MOTd and have sent off the paperwork to get her registered.

As soon as I have a reg number I need to put some plates on it.

What size and style do you recommend?

I could go for classic british pressed aluminium plates, but am thinking I should go for something a bot more US original style.

What do you think?

Personally I think classic style as you suggest is best. It's what I always use on mine and others. Car like that does not need to try so hard like some, fake US plates are naff IMHO and belong on lesser 'wannabe' type cars. Just my 2p

I'd go silver on black metal ones like you say...

I would go for silver on black in smaller Motorbike size per the below:

I also prefer the classic Black with Silver letters and the smaller size will also compliment the look of a "68 .

Thanks for your suggestions.
Finally got the V5 back from DVLA, so can now get it on the road.

I have ordered 6" by 12" USA size silver on black plates. Cant wait for them to turn up!
