Unfortunately I doubt that there are many parts suppliers in the UK that will be able to supply most of what you want cheaper than you can get it yourself directly from the US especially with current exchange rates. I would try Heartbeat City in the US http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/store/ they are about the best I have used and the parts are generally American made which means they are good quality and fit on the whole, speak to Dave. With regards Camaro specialists I can only recommend Rare Performance Motors in Tilford Surrey who built and looked after my 68 Z28. Martin also looks after a couple of other Camaro's one of which is a race car so may know or have some bits you need. Hope that helps... Regards Gavin. |

Thankyou very Much Gavin! The states are cheap however delivery and tax makes it expensive and costly to get it over to the UK, thankyou for your help I will research what you suggested, Cheers, Kieran |

Quite a few of the regular parts suppliers will special order parts for you as they get regular palettes, or whole containers sent over so will save on the import costs. Downside is you may need to wait.. |

My local place Old Car World, can source anything with a bit of notice, only downside is it takes a month or more for the container to arrive, plus whatever the order time is.. I'm sure all the UK american parts suppliers will do the same, so I'd just contact the most local to you for convenience.. |

Kieran I'm in Bristol and have been doing a complete restoration on my 69 for some time. There's an album here on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 714&type=3 I've bought in all the panels, glass, trim, etc from National Parts Depot (Florida) and they deliver them to STS Imports in Apopka, near Orlando. STS Imports is run by Ron Fenton and the containers arrive at his storage unit in Chelmsford where he unloads all the stuff. I then either collect it on my work travels or he ships them by courier to me in Bristol. I have brought in loads of parts through Ron for Mustangs, Mopars and now the Camaro and its real easy. Ron charges a fair price for the shipping and you can't avoid the 20% VAT anyway ! I've given up long ago relying on any UK American specialist except for the usual consumable bits like filters, gaskets, plugs, brake pads and the like. They can't really ship anything much cheaper than Ron can, and then they add their business profit and overhead. Long ago I gave up comparing prices as it was virtually always 20 to 40% cheaper to bring a load in yourself. I've just ordered a new clutch kit for an F100 pick up truck from Rock Auto in the States. Express delivery by FEDEX in 3 days, VAT is prepaid on the order so it comes straight to your address and it was £160 compared to Real Steels clutch kit for £185 plus postage. 10 day delivery option would have been cheaper but I need it for this weekend. I've got a rear screen you can have and the spoiler from the bootlid. I cant find the old front screen though at the moment........... The trims I threw away as they were pretty poor condition. Whereabouts in the South West are you? |
