My car has air shocks in the back and to stop it bottoming out when the kids are in the back you have to pump them up which dont look good...A couple of guys have recommended traction bars to stiffen up the rear ????? p.s when i get time i will roll the arch lip up as i do like the look of the wheel filling the rear arches |

Air shocks aren't ideal, as they place the full rear vehicle weight on the shock tower which isn't designed to have that amount of pressure... I had them on mine when I bought it and took them off and fitted gas shocks straight away. Stiffer rear springs are the proper solution fella. I think traction bars only come into play when the weight transfer from acceleration makes them push on the front of the leaf spring. |

Traction bars won't cure your problem. They're designed to "snub" up a against the spring eye under acceleration the torque twists the axle/springs. You need to stiffen the springs & ditch the air shocks I'm afraid. As Stu says, the airshocks are holding up the weight of the car, which is really the job for the springs. Have you thought of leaving the kids at home?? cheers...Nige |

Pikey fix would be to fit leaf spring 'helpers' to add a bit of strength to the old spings.. Not really the best solution though http://shop.cruiserparts.net/index.php? ... 1503b93a64 |
