Had a great day !!An old old man scraped his old banger along the side of my firebird .then it got wet in the rain .then my indicators have stopped flashing(you just get a solid light) is it the relay/flasher unit???

Bit difficult to diagnose via internet but first thing I would check is earths on the indicators and wiring generally. When you say an old man scrapped his banger I guess you mean scraped, I can't see how scrapping a car near yours would stop your indicators working :D
It could be the flasher unit but if your car has had any recent trauma, look to wiring connections first HTH

the earths on the indicator units are notoriously finicky

I managed to find some replacements- I think they came from an old British car (Morris) and snipped off the side to make them sit flat

still they come adrift sometimes- especially when you a have a boot full of stuff and accelerate hard- causing everthng to move around

I think the GM flasher units are cheap anyway.. I'm sure I paid less than a tenner for a new one a few years back from OCW
