Anyone else hating the cold... Just starting out on my long overdue renovation on my '68 Firebird project and was looking forward to a good weekend of progress but it is just too damn cold...everything outside is coated with thick white ice and frost... Was enjoying the relatively mild spell up till now and had removed all the front end panels and doors [with some kind help from a good buddy ], totally stripped the interior and have just started to cut out and patch repair rusted areas around the dash , screen pillars and firewall-will try to post some pics up here later but I'm not much good with 'puters . |

i know what you are saying! too busy at the moment to have time for the camaro but i do have the next two weekends and a day off work in between reserved to finally get her back on track for MOT. Nothing too major (famous last words), just finishing the brake system rebuild and rebuilding the distributor. Should be a breeze. Just dont fancy doing it when it is realy cold. I work outside all day every day for a living and i think i have "hardened" over the last few winters. But to then do it again when it is not strictly needed makes it all a bit less pleasant. Hope the cold spell is short lived so i can do the work slightly warmer weather. kurt |

Yep, not liking this cold weather at all. It doesn't help anything and as long as it's this cold, there's a risk of salt on the roads (or ice!) so toys have to stay off the road for now. Grrr. Cheers, Martin |

Glad it's not just me , never liked the cold and it don't get better as I get older We ended up with 5-6 inches of the white stuff and I had to dig a path to the garage ,once in it was time for a quick tidy up session and managed to take some pics . Was way too cold for any work [ tools felt like bits of ice in my hands just touching them ! ] Did manage some reasonable pix ,will post them up later and try to update as I do more work . will post the pics up later in the week ,my first attempt at anything like this on the net so excuse me for being a bit slow...to be continued ... Cheers Dave . |
