Still a work in progress I have family coming into town so I have not had the time to work on it. I have insurance coverage on it so worst case is, I will grab a few friends and have them cover my front and rear on my way to Santa Pod and back.

Hi Dan, are you saying that you'll drive it to the Pod sandwiched between your mates cars but with no MOT?? :o

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but if caught or stopped, your insurance will be void & in a worst case scenario in the event of an accident or injury they won't pay out & you'll end up in court. No MOT, equals no insurance cover I'm afraid. If you're involved in any form of accident you will be personably responsible for any payments for damages. This my friend is a very stupid thing to be doing.

Please think again before using your car on the roads without an MOT

Nige

i gotta agree here, no MOT will get you a fine, victim surcharge and costs totalling about £130 at best.....at worst, you could be jailed and have someones death on your consience, along with possibly a HUGE compensation payment.
(OK, as a gearhead, you OBVIOUSELY know whether the car is safe or not, (and i'm talking about the important bits like brakes, steering and suspension here, not red indicators or a frayed seatbelt etc), .......BUT.......and it is a big but, if the worst happens, a court will ONLY see you as a driver of an unroadworthy car, (which they will assume is dangerous), with a void insurance policy)
please, get it tested first !
