Car Details:The worlds rustiest 67 Camaro.
I had wondered where this site had gone and today I found you again by doing a quick google.

Has the site had an upgrade or been missing for a while ?

Since I last posted I have now got two first gens, my original work in progress RS/SS clone and a late 66 manufactured numbers matching California car I bought over in Sacramento and imported myself.

I have been driving the CA Camaro daily down here in Cornwall and have been working through a lot of little jobs to get it right. I have got the heaters working as they should and now I have the original 327 out to freshen that up. a re-bore and pistons, cam and lifters, crank grind and full repaint of the motor and engine bay are what Iam on right now.

The interior is getting a new set of carpets and seat covers to bring that area up to standard too.

Its a great car and I think the original CA owners never did much to it apart from drive it, the motor has never been out and everything is as it was out the factory but with 50 years of use.

I bought it because a friend in CA told me about it and he knew my project was stalled a bit and that I wanted a 67 for my 40th birthday year. I am glad he told me about it because its one of the best unrestored cars I have ever had. its a standard 327 with a Powerglide, black interior with the chrome trim options and front lap belts.

Outside its been badly painted matt black but for an unrestored US car is very good in terms of rust. A little in the front floors but that is getting dealt with next, before I put the motor back in. I have a good floor pan from a broken 67 shell here so I can put original metal patches back in and match contours and holes.

Anyway, a few pics !

Welcome back! Yes, there's a thread in the general section about this site, in short, funding stopped and had to get a new URL as the previous one was expiring, all in 1 weekend, so it all happened very fast. Unfortunately it takes google time for website to crawl to the top of the list, Bing doesn't show our club on the first few pages still, but luckily back on top with google. Once a website address expires, have to wait 3 months to buy it and then set up a redirect, so planning on doing that at the end of this month, hopefully have a few more people back. Tried to send a mass mail but not many people got it (when you send a mass mail from a single ip address, it usually gets seen as spam and blocked straight away).

Anyway glad to you have back and very good news about the 2nd first gen!! Glad to hear you're enjoying it already :) Bring it down to American Speedfest perhaps?

How to post pics: When writing a message, scroll down and use the "attach file" option. Where possible, a photo sharing service can be used such as Flickr, Imgur etc. The image location (usually ending in .jpg) can be copy and pasted between the ][ brackets that appear when you click the 'Img' button (you can find this button at the top of the message box).

How to post youtube vids: Click on the 'youtubeHD' button at the top of the message box and in the middle of the ][ brackets that just appeared, copy and paste everything from the youtube web address that appears after the = sign i.e if this is the url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cNqaPSHv0 just copy "K2cNqaPSHv0").
