We've got an ongoing issue trying to get Rockauto to get past our firewall which is why codes haven't been posted in a while. Still trying to sort it! In the meantime thought i would share my latest experience. Ordered a bunch of service parts... hoses, thermostats, filters, brake pads etc. Ordered on Sunday night, arrived on Thursday morning, with economy delivery from the U.S! You can't beat that. All vat paid upfront with Rockatuo when the order was placed, so no waiting for customs etc. Considering i bought 1 small hazard flasher (fit into an A5 jiffy bag) from a UK seller, in stock, about 50 miles away, on Sunday night and it arrived (first class) on Friday :/ |

They are well priced and their delivery is quick but wait until you buy a heavy part and it's broken, you pay the return postage, for the replacement part you pay the Import, shipping and vat and don't get refunded any of the original costs, import or VAT you paid on the original broken part, and as for getting a credit note because you don't want another crap replacement clutch you can forget that, I am around £300 ish out of pocket for the part I got that was broken and sitting on a shelf and it would probably cost me another £150-200 to get it replaced under warranty. So i have a crap part that is useless here and have paid hundreds of pounds to have my gearbox removed twice, for that reason alone I won't be ordering anything from them again and neither would any of the guys who are now aware of the implications of this. it would have saved me hundreds of pounds if I had brought it from a UK supplier and paid them their whack on top as I would have been protected by UK law rather than being about £500 out of pocket , buyer beware applies here and there was no attempt whatsoever at any kind of understanding or goodwill from this company who I have spent around £1000 with over the last 12 months Rant over. |

Ordered from there a few times, a couple of times I got parts for a completely different year and model. I'm hesitant to use them again to be honest |

I've mostly had a good experience, it can be tough when things go wrong. The Americans have it great though, much easier to deal with returns, no customs, import duty etc. and you can't beat the prices. I'm just about to place an order to deliver within the U.S and bring back with me - delivery is crazy cheap there, i keep adding stuff to the cart and it stays at $6.99 and 3-5 day. I do wish when working on the car that i was out there to be able to get the good prices, good availability and fast shipping. |

Haha, yep - will take some pics with the carb on its beach towel by the seaside as proof lol. It's mad though -Rockauto selling AC Delco New (not rebuilt) brake master cylinder for $20 (£16) vs. UK places selling unbranded ones for £65. |
