thanks I use to have one about 10 years ago want another as I miss driving it and I am aware of how rare they are in uk and am aware of doing the conversion myself just a matter of finding the right car in good condition and right price saw one couple of weeks ago in the spec I wanted pictures looked ok went to see it and was the perfect example of a really bad car the ebay ones I have already seen one asking far too much and has to many things done to it that I do not want the other has a vinyl roof no good my last resort is sourcing one from a dealer in usa by going there and seeing it myself and make sure I stay there till its collected by shipping company in case anything goes missing as I have heard too many stories |

I am a little shocked to see the price of that, it looks mint but isn't a standard car which is where I thought the money would be, saying that I certainly wouldn't mind having it in my garage :-) |

trust me I have done a lot of research into all this and these cars seem to only be getting the asking price more or less is in America in Europe and uk the demand is not so great and people do not want to spend as much on these cars and have seen a couple of these cars in uk online advertised from £20000 plus and several years later they are still for sale and one in Greece asking £32500 again not sold and a dealer in Holland asking £29000 not sold even if you look at muscle car dealers in America you will see many of the Camaros have been for sale for quite some time remember it is only a very few who will want a particular car and may pay the asking price otherwise you are less likely to get your money back on what you spent |

My suggestion would be to import from the U.S. At the moment it's the 3rd and 4th gens that aren't worth importing as they are reasonably priced here in the UK, so you would barely save anything. But when it comes to 1st gens and early 2nd gens, a lot more choice out there and a lot better pricing. The only downside is as you mention not being able to see it. Can't remember his username on here but Marshal imported a very nice early 2nd gen with a lot done to it and a lovely big block. He got it for a lot less than he would have paid here. Of course, if something pops up here in the UK that meets your budget, even better! |

thanks I am already doing both ie looking here and there and if from America I will be going to see it first not buy it by looking at pictures which you can not trust in addition I have also been advised to make sure to stay there till the car has been collected by shipping company in case seller removes or changes anything to car whilst I am back in uk. so I have been told |

I can certainly see the appeal of the early 70's split bumper design, it is my 2nd favourite Camaro shape I was going to suggest taking a look at the one at Fast Lane Classics if you were happy to convert the front end, but it has sold now http://www.fastlaneclassics.co.uk/2015/ ... -for-sale/ Otherwise there is a pretty cool shop in Germany that has a couple of potentials, but they are not cheap especially if you want to add the cost of conversion on top. http://www.rdclassics.com/oldtimer/1973 ... 56&taal=EN http://www.rdclassics.com/oldtimer/1977 ... 34&taal=EN http://www.rdclassics.com/oldtimer/1973 ... 41&taal=EN |

thanks for these however I am aware of all these dealers and cars amongst many many more from usa. as I am looking t have work done to the car to make it my own for example re spray, wheels, re upholster interior to leather I would prefer to buy a car that already has the rs front saying this if the right car comes along without the rs front I would not mind but it must be at a reasonable cost for me to have the rs conversion done to list of cars from rdclassics I enquired about the first one but was told it had a few bubbles and did not sound to convincing from him it was a solid car the other two are more than what I would like to pay seen an idea one on a dealers site in florida matches all my criteria but has a 6.5 396 big block which is of no use to me I am happy with a simple 350 5.7. also surprisingly told that florida is a wet state best to look in places like California or dallas/texas other good amercican sites to look for any make muscle cars or classic are www.webeautos.com www.oodle.com |

By the sounds of it you have probably already seen it, but this one is quite reasonably priced and from the photos at least looks pretty decent. Also it's been up there for a few months so you might be able to knock some off too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Camar ... 1567392911 |
