Hi all as stated in the title I will be in the market soon looking for an Iroc-Z with the 350 5.7 tpi engine. Auto with t-tops. Car has to be VGC/EXCELLENT condition, preferably black/tan but will obviously consider other colour's too! Preferably a 1989 model or later as mainly due to increased factory power output and 3 point rear seat belts for the kids! I know I am being quite specific but they are out there ( I will take others into consideration too) pm with pictures if possible and details in the first instance and ill call you back asap Thanks Glen |

It's not my car, but there's a 1991 Z28 350 that's just appeared on carandclassic.co.uk http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C371788 It's an 1LE car, I've never seen one of these for sale before. If I had the space and money I'd be all over it. |

Maybe I'm mad not to at least have a look as its so close to me and are super rare, but it does nothing for me in the looks deptartment (no offence intended to 1LE owners!). There's something about the Irocs that have the edge IMO. There was a black one for sale recently in Kent I think, which did look good though. Thanks for the heads up :-) |

It basically is the IROC but better! Are you saying you need the graphics saying IROC? It has all the skirts, spoilers, even the black light buckets. The thing that would transform that car is the wheels- put on IROC's 18" and you would have a show stopper. |

Shame about the base interior and manual windows. |

I believe the 1LE's specified this to save further weight. |

I went back to the UK in the early nineties to view an IROC, up top it was a beautiful car, but it came from Michigan...............the underside was one sheet of rust. |

hardly any difference in weight, 1LE doesnt have enough on it to warrent it that much better than a 5.7 Iroc or Z28 except for being rare but the price for this one is well worth it if in good shape.
