Hi all,

My drivers side seat belt retraction mechanism is not pulling the belt back in anymore.
Is there anything I can do to fix this or does it need a new mechanism?

Does anyone have one for sale?

Thanks

Alex

where is the reel located? Is it jamming on anything? I might have a spare hanging about from a coupe which might be same as the vert ?

Hiya,

Thanks for your response. It is just over the left shoulder of the driver is where the seat belt goes into and then it travels down and the I think the mechanism is at the bottom.

I have had a look and I don't think it is snagged or twisted as it does pull the belt in just really slowly and with a bit of feeding.
If you could have a check I would really appreciate it.
I can take pictures of it and send them to you if that helps.

Thanks very much

Alex

sorry for getting back to you late, busy over christmas sorting a conference talk out for work....

anyways...I do have a seat belt but it's not pulling out fully at the moment, but I think it is because it doesn't like being held free hand and may need bolting in to test. I'm gonna try get it im my car and see if it does fully wrk and indeed if it is a front not a rear. Mines a coupe thought so not 100 % sure it will work. If all seems fine with it and it is correct you can have it for just postage costs :D
