Post subject:  Re: Performance camshaft

I had a friend that put this in my 86 TPI engine but after i had problems with it running I checked the spec and it says clearly not for computer controlled cars so i had to take it out.
The car never ran with this cam so it is as new.

I was not happy!! and needless to say my mate and me are not speaking :( if yours is not computer controlled it should work fine but please check out some forums first as i can not be sure Summit web site also gives you all the details.
I'm sure if you email Summit and ask them if this cam will be ok in your car they will tell you as they will think your going to buy it from them.

I have now fitted the correct Cam in my 86 TPI

Hope this helps
Cheers

It will work in TPI you just need to recalibrate everything.
So unless you can do that then its not suitable.

Spec looks good though.
