Car Details:98 Z28 convertable - Green
I am selling my well loved 1998 Z28 Convertible in Green. I am the 1st UK registered owner and bought her in 2005. She was originally Canadian.

Two young children and recently buying another car as the wife says it is getting too uncomfortable for the children means she sadly may have to go. She is due an MOT which I will get done so will have 12 months MOT and I will get her serviced at an american car garage to ensure that I can sell her with confidence that she is sound.

I believe this car to be very rare as I have only seen 1 SS convertible but never just a Z28 convertible of this shape.

She has been extremely reliable and has always started first time. The engine sound is excellent being a 5.7L as with all Z28's.

She has a 4 pipe Magna Flow performance stainless steel exhaust (costing £435 + fitting and VAT), a strut brace fitted under the bonnet to make it stiffer, upgraded front brakes to the EBC disc and pads (believe to be the yellow stuff). She also has the corvette C5 wheels i.e front 17" x 245 rear 18" x 275 which are on at present. In addition I have the original wheels which I believe to be the SS wheels which have the following tyres 275x45x17 fitted (the tyres would need to be replaced). The top picture has the original wheels, the botttom the C5 wheels. Much larger than the UK spec car and make it look more like a muscle car.

In addition I purchased the hard torneau cover and the leather bag for storage in the boot (value £1k when new). This is manually fitted when the roof is down to make it look neater and comes in three parts.

She has been regularly serviced by an american car specialist in Braintree. I bought her with around 72k mileage and she has just done over 152k mileage but is as solid as a rock.

I will also throw in the snow chains and a child seat that fits the car well if this helps the purchaser.

The car has regularly been shown at the corvette show at Huntingdon.

It is hard to know how to value this car but just looking on auto trader there is a 1999 3.8 convertible at £5,899 and a 99 Z28 (non convertible) for £6,950.

I was thinking around £5k to be fair but any feedback on this price is appreciated. Any one interested please just ask.

She has private plates on at present that are not included and will be removed. It is a bother to change them only to find there is no interest in the car then I have to change them back again hence why I am asking.

so nobody is interested in my car.

Well I love her and am deep down very happy but do let me know if anyone is interested. I am sure I will own her for the next 10 years and still be happy......Perhaps when my girls start to drive in 14 years time they might like it.....It will only be £15 a gallon of petrol then.... hehehe.
