Yes sorry... not the best excuse I know. Links into not using the car for the past year, had a lot of personal stuff to deal with. Done a few miles though already this year so gettin there.
Any ideas for any meet ups this summer, maybe more central location?
The Tick is a light metalic sounding regular sound , it goes up and down with engine revs.
I have checked the valve clearances and tightened a little bit but it made no difference.
Someone else has listened and said it did not sound serious and that I should drive it and see if it changes.
As for meets there is a nice one at The Harte and Magpies, Coleshill, near Amersham on the 2nd Tuesday every month. It is for American cars but a few British classics slip in as well. It is an evening meet and gets very popular and you get some top quality cars turning up.
For Bigger National events the Damn Yankees Summer Slam is always big, held at North Weald airfield 9 ( near Harlow ) easy to get to fro the M11 and M25.
Mopar Nats at Santa Pod is good on the last day( Sunday ) they have a big section to show the cars next to he track, again you get to see some very nice cars turning up ,plus the drag racing. It's worth a visit if the weather is fine.
